First appointment in Ovumia
People struggling with infertility can turn to Ovumia for an initial consultation.
During your first visit, you will meet with a fertility specialist who will assess your situation in preparation for potential treatment. At Ovumia, we are proud to offer our patients access to the latest and most effective methods in fertility treatments.
How should you prepare for the first visit?
To make the most of your first visit with us, we have a few things we would like you to complete beforehand. We ask that you fill out our health declaration form, which you will receive digitally, in good time. This way, our fertility specialists can prepare and tailor the meeting to your needs and preferences.
If you have undergone previous treatments or tests at other clinics, we would appreciate it if you could share relevant documents with us so that we can get a comprehensive understanding of your treatment history.
Before the first visit, you are also encouraged to have blood tests taken, such as one that measures your ovarian reserve.

What happens on the first visit?
During the first visit, you will be welcomed by one of our doctors specializing in fertility.
If you are visiting as a couple, we strongly recommend that both partners attend the first visit.
During the first visit, you will go through the results of your fertility investigation. Sometimes, it may be necessary to complement the investigation with additional tests. If this is the case, the doctor will provide you with information. Any previous treatments, illnesses, and current medications will also be discussed. The doctor will also perform a gynecological examination with ultrasound to assess the uterus and ovaries.
If you choose to start treatment with us, an appointment with one of our midwives will also be scheduled. During this meeting, you will have the opportunity to calmly receive further information about the upcoming plan, and the different steps will be explained one by one.
