Book an appointment

For couples concerned about their ability to conceive, the uncertainty can intensify if pregnancy doesn’t occur after several months of trying. It’s advisable to seek guidance if conception hasn’t happened within six months. Those aiming for independent motherhood or women coupels can get help and support on the way to parenthood through us.

Our successful results

At Ovumia, we offer a comprehensive plan for couples or single womens, including essential examinations, a treatment necessity assessment, and an individualized treatment plan. While the reasons for infertility may not always be immediately apparent, our range of treatment options caters to various situations. The final decision on treatment types and schedules rests with the couple, and our current treatment methods have proven successful for 80–85% of couples.

The first visit – A step towards parenthood

We encourage couples to attend the first visit together, where our expert interviews and discusses factors impacting fertility, considering health and lifestyle. A gynecological examination and ultrasound for women are standard, and further examinations for men are planned based on sperm analysis results.

Single women and female couples are given their own examinations and an individual treatment plan.
An individualized plan for necessary examinations is prepared, along with preliminary information on infertility treatment options. If previous investigations or treatments have been conducted elsewhere, bringing relevant documentation is crucial. During the first visit, our clinic practices are explained, and you’ll meet our dedicated midwives.

analys

Sperm analysis

The sperm analysis is the most basic fertility examination for men. It determines sperm volume, sperm count, total number of sperm, their motility and shape as well as the presence of any antisperm antibodies. For the examination, the man gives a sperm sample in a quiet, private sampling room. You can come to this examination without referral by calling the Ovumia sperm laboratory to make an appointment and to get further instructions.

Fertility counselling

Questions concerning fertility may sometimes cause concern even when pregnancy is not desired at the time. A woman may have an illness affecting fertility, which causes concern with regard to the ability to start a family. Such diseases include, for example, polycystic ovaries, menstrual disorders, endometriosis, hormonal disease, previous eating disorders or malignant diseases treated in childhood. They may make it more difficult to conceive.

In men, a treated failure of the testes to descend, a previous orchitis or varicoceles may impair the quality of sperm. In such situations, talking to a fertility expert may help put your mind at rest.

If you find yourself in a similar situation, you are welcome to contact us at Ovumia Stockholm to meet with a specialist in reproductive medicine. We offer tailored counseling services based on your individual situation and always strive to create a safe and supportive environment to assist you in your future plans.
